Infrastructure Regions
Learn about the available regions for Guepard's infrastructure
Guepard's infrastructure is distributed across multiple regions to provide low-latency access, disaster recovery, and data sovereignty. Each region is a separate geographic area with multiple availability zones, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
Every database is deployed in a cloud-based locations where compute, storage, and networking resources are deployed. Each region is an isolated environment that ensures high availability, security, and compliance while optimizing performance based on geographic proximity.
- Multi-Region Support: Deploy workloads across different geographic locations to enhance redundancy and reduce latency.
- Region-Based Isolation: Each region operates independently, ensuring data sovereignty and compliance with local regulations.
- Optimized Performance: Choose the nearest region to minimize latency and improve data access speed.
- Hybrid Cloud & On-Prem: Supports deployment in public cloud providers, private data centers, or hybrid configurations.
- Automated Failover: High availability setups with automatic failover to backup regions in case of outages.
Available Regions
Guepard supports a range of infrastructure regions, including but not limited to:
- Europe (EU-West, EU-Central, EU-East)
- North America (US-East, US-West, Canada)
- Asia-Pacific (AP-Southeast, AP-Northeast, India)
- Middle East & Africa (MEA-North, MEA-South)
- South America (SA-East, SA-West)
Each region includes a set of availability zones, ensuring redundancy and fault tolerance.
Configuring Infrastructure Region
Selecting a Region
When deploying a new workload or environment, users can specify the preferred infrastructure region from the Guepard Console:
- Navigate to the Infrastructure Settings in the Guepard Console.
- Select a region from the list of available locations.
- Confirm deployment, and Guepard will provision the necessary resources in the selected region.
Region-Based Replication
For high availability and disaster recovery, users can enable region-based replication by:
- Enabling Replication under the "Disaster Recovery" settings.
- Selecting a secondary region for backup.
- Configuring synchronization intervals to define data replication frequency.
